Clarification on S3 metadata in OME recording API

Hi, I want to stream/upload recorded file to s3 bucket.
I noticed in the OME recording API and documentation that it’s possible to include metadata fields like access_key_id, secret_access_key, and endpoint when starting a recording.

Does this mean OvenMediaEngine supports direct uploading of recorded files to S3 ?
Or are these metadata fields simply passed through for use by external scripts or workflows?

If direct upload is supported, could you please share an example of the required additional configuration (e.g., in Server.xml)?
If not, what’s the intended use of these metadata fields?

Outside of OME, you could use something like S3FS on Linux to "mount" the S3 bucket like a filesystem, and map your recording outputs to that directory.

Is S3FS stable? I had some issues, but it was a long time ago.
For my part, I use a sync shell script with rclone that I dockerized (https://github.com/nums/rclone-sync),

We use it as a way of feeding a ScheduledChannel. We had stability issues at first but solved them by throwing a 200GB disk cache at it.

We use rclone to store hls dump, so it's just one way sync : server => S3
