In our team we have found that project covers our architecture ideas very good, but seems the project is prepare to die:(
Hope I'm wrong and long live the king ;) but one question is very interesting to me, perhaps some better solution or any modern approach for running experiments exists (e.g. dvc.org)?

This is very much related to an older issue (#761). The owner (@Qwlouse) and other maintainers currently seem not to be interested in the project anymore, and the last update on PyPi is pretty old (see #857). I'm currently trying to answer issues and pull requests as good as I can, but things are sometimes slow and I don't have full rights over the repository.

There are many other issues with the codebase itself which would require a rewrite of a large part of the project (plans were made in #610, #663 but never implemented). I don't have the capacity to do that.

Recently, many projects for experiment tracking appeared out there, many of them are cloud-based. Examples are neptune, weights&biases, comet, mlflow, and google gives you plenty more. They differ in their feature sets and I'm not sure if they can replace all of sacred's functionality. What I like especially about sacred is its configuration system and the local file storage options.
