can it work on rooted oneplus 12?

I cant seem to work it on oneplus 12 so as to limit the 5ghz channels it is transmitting as a 5ghz hotspot
oneplus 12 seems to prefer 149 channel which is not detected by my eu wifi extender so i want to limit it till 140 channel
but cant make it work, am i doing something wrong?
