1.compress the video files with a more modern codec. These files are quite large. At least the low and high quality.
2.up scale with AI for better high quality files (the current high quality files are just upscales and filtered of the standard ones, they are not the original).
3. add the German file and a readme to the github repo
Describe why do you think it is needed
1.the files are 17 years old, technology has progressed since then.
2.The German file was forgotten.
3.And it would be nice to have the license and some creation information in their github repo. The videos are optional and can be packaged separably.

1.) Agree a more modern codec is needed and this is a task I'll seek to implement. It has been a long standing issue, that keeps coming up.
2.) No, it is totally pointless as the original source content is of such low resolution and quality but they can be cleaned up to some extent. The videos are at 480p and quite blocky but totally new videos would be a better use of time + effort. (Note a quick demo was made). An "AI up-scale" was attempted but had many steps in the process, that resulted in very large file sizes.
3.) Yes we do need translations for GR as well to be added, along with FR.
We have the original files.
However some concerns mentioned on this when it comes to patents if we try to use video codec any of; VP8 / VP9 / AV1, though I myself am in favour of AV1 or VP9 as second option IMO.
Ok
