Hi,

We had discussed some time ago to change the label of GO:0034508 centromere complex assembly
to centromeric chromatin formation. This would imply moving the terms under chromatin remodeling; probably more specifically under constitutive heterochromatin formation?

See the annotation documentation we have here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/15fDBhmO54zSJms25aV5nX3kgSwsHMnWgdSuPdo-ukyw/edit?slide=id.g1ddabf7ef55_0_18#slide=id.g1ddabf7ef55_0_18

Does that seem correct ?

Thanks, Pascale

The current term is broader and covers any complex that assembles at the centomere (i.e kinetochore assembly)

Also can't go under constitutive heterochromatin formation because CENP-A containing chromatin isn't heterochromatin.
