The wikidata items are shown as "Q347387" or similar. But some number and letter-combinations are not very useful for the average user. When I click on an item, however a much more useful title is usually shown, e.g. "Difference between revisions of "Charles Hull". So here, "Charles Hull" is more suitable, is not it?

Hmm, you'd have to ask the client for a language preference. And probably hit the API from the client. It's a lot of traffic, but generally they can take it. May be worth trying.
