Group results are not aggregated in Gatling report when integrated with Karate

I am using version 1.5.1 of karate core and Gatling version 3.9.5 to do performance testing on existing Karate API tests and have noticed that, the subgroups do not aggregate the data properly in the Gatling Report

After doing some digging I saw the following issue was discussed previously discussed here -> #762

as you saw, this needs a change in the code. would be great if you can help round up someone with bandwidth to fix this via a PR. note that most of our existing users seem to be fine without this change
