I am running this on a Parallels VM (Windows 11) on an Apple Silicon Mac, so it is using the ARM64 architecture. Sometimes when changing presets I get the error:

Error compiling ps2_a_warp shader:
error X3506: unrecognized compiler target 'ps_4_0'

It doesn't seem to impact the changing of presets, but I'm assuming I'm missing out on some of the warp shaders?

Until this is resolved, would it be at least possible to add a "hide errors" feature so Milkdrop3 could be enjoyed without the distracting error messages (even if we are missing out on something)?

In the next version coming up in just a few days, you'll be able to hide all the errors!

Hello,

You probably just have to install the DirectX files: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 direct link: https://download.microsoft.com/download/8/4/A/84A35BF1-DAFE-4AE8-82AF-AD2AE20B6B14/directx_Jun2010_redist.exe

Thanks; I ran the wizard to install the DirectX files and rebooted, but still getting the error in Milkdrop3. I believe on ARM64, some DirectX features may not be supported depending on the GPU/driver (based on asking ChatGPT).

I ran DxDiag and exported some potentially relevant information:
DxDiag.txt

Somebody using it on Mac wrote:
"I’ve been using regular old MilkDrop 3 on a Mac with an M3 Max in a Windows 11 arm64 VM using its Prism emulator, and even through all those hoops it’s still hitting over 120fps."

Maybe this may help too: #66
