HI, is it possible to create MilkDrop 3 as a plugin for players, just as it was in MilkDrop 2?
It used winamp wrapper thing, vis_milk2.dll and few other files to work in players like AIMP etc.

Hi, the problem is, if I make a dll for Winamp, it only works for Winamp. Then I would need to make another one for Foobar2000, another one for AIMP... and that's too much work. It's much easier for me to make 1 version compatible with every player, like it is right now.
As far as I know, this wrapper allowed MilkDrop to run in other players, such as AIMP, but I could be wrong. I used it for years, long time ago (with earlier versions of AIMP). Here is the installation instruction (from aimp_vis_winamp.txt) for the older version of AIMP, when it worked:
Installation:
1. Install aimp_vis_winamp.dll in AIMP's PlugIns directory.
2. Open/Restart AIMP.
3. Load/activate the Plugin (aimp_vis_winamp.dll) in the Plugin Manager.
4. Make sure the option 'Emulate Winamp' is selected in the Plugin Manager.
How to load a Winamp Plugin:
1. Activate the Winamp Wrapper visualisation
2. Press the middle mouse button on the visualisation window
3. Choose "Load Plugin..." and select a winamp plugin file.
How to get to the config screen of a winamp vis plugin:
Choose "Configure" from the visualisation menu
