this seems pretty simple, and it would be a major improvement. picture at bottom.
@bteitelb if you are able to get together and make this one night before Monday 3/23, it would be AMAZING. And probably our last thing for a while. Some superficial details are not fully complete, but can be before we get together.
for non-signed in users, we want to villagecraft.org to lead to a new landing page that also functions as an about page if they keep scrolling. if they have a link to the index or a workshop page, let them get there, but this way we can have them create an account / log in before villagecraft.org leads to the index.
this means a new header for the whole site, one that would have buttons that go to anchored sections of the about page or a new "spaces" page, 3 sections in all: "about" ; "get involved" ; "our values"
for not-signed-in users the buttons "check it out" "post an activity" or "offer space" would lead to a message saying they need to login / create an account to do that.
for signed in users, "check it out" would go to index; "post an activity" would go first to a "post" page if they have never posted a workshop, or to the new form if they have posted a workshop before. "offer spaces" would go to a new "spaces" page which I am wrapping up a mockup for.
for signed in users, the header would have a "post" button and a user profile pic (or generic dude for those that don't have it) -- see second image. "post" leads to the new form, or, if we don't have it yet, the current "hostify" page.
for everyone the footer would be expanded from the current one to include "about" "get involved" and "our values" which go to anchors on about / landing page.

I'm very busy with SXSW related things this week. I might be able to help with this on the weekend. In general, I'm concerned with how much code has been written but not deployed. The great thing about the web is that you can do continuous deployment. We should deploy the new My Workshops stuff before embarking on other projects.
Sure Ben. FWIW the deadline was me wanting closure on this before going out of town and having much less availability for villagecraft myself in the coming months. Sorry for leaving it up in the air with you, I backed off on my part noticing your busyness and wasn't expecting that JS and I would need a day and a half to wrap up other things. I've been testing #64 and have some notes, also going to provide more documentation on this today.
