I don't know the root cause of this, but looking at the code here, you can delete the the /tmp/warpd_%d.lock file (replace %d with whatever ID is actually on your system), and then warpd can start again.
Warpd seems to think that it already has an instance running despite there being none after attempting to restart
system: Arch linux x86_64
no logs , just "ERROR: Another instance of warpd is already running"
