Fan Groups

Fan Groups works like a simpler Generic Thermostat. It will group all fans in an area (even if you only have one) and allow you to track an aggregate sensor of a selected device_class
(e.g. temperature
, humidity
, co2
). The fans will be turned on
once the value of the tracked sensor goes above the configured setpoint
and off
once it's under.
Use cases:
- Turning fans on when it's too hot
- Turning a bathroom exhaust fan when the humidity is too high
- Turning on ventilation fans if the CO2 levels are high
